That group of late 1960’s artists who knew Reed might be the most pretentious crowd of insufferable people ever interviewed for a film

Personally I have great late night life experiences that happened with ‘Sweet Jane’ playing in the background.

Whoever it was that originally convinced Lou Reed he could sing did him dirty.

could you retitle this so it's the VU thread?

"I'm Stickin' With The Velvet Underground"

"Beginning To See The Velvet Underground Light"

"Her Life Was Saved By The Velvet Underground"

or something along those lines

I don't know if anyone would read it, but I would post in it

Probably the same person who told Frank Sinatra he could sing.

He was interesting right around the time he started hanging with Bowie (Transformer) but it didn't last long.

The drummer’s son was my neighbor for a while when I lived in Athens. She was very low key and he very rarely brought her up. Said hi to her once in the parking lot, that’s my Velvet Underground story.

Very smart woman. She's a staunch conservative.

Some of his work was outstanding. Much of it not. He was a pretentious a-hole later in life, but I'm grateful he and VU made unique and compelling contributions to avant-garde rock in the 70s and beyond.

Lou was better after Warhol was gone.

Lou Reed's Berlin, Transformer, New Sensations, and New York were great in addition to his VU work, which was exceptional. That's 8 great to excellent albums. Not too shabby.
