none of these are realistic in 2015

I laughed at his list. Wilco? The black keyes? Dont hold your breath waiting.

Black Keys? Why don't we just add Grateful Dead while we are at it.

He said what bands would we "like to see" booked. Obviously, some of those listed are highly unlikely, but many of them are not far-fetched in the least.

the most realistic out of that group and that's because they've played the varsity before.

Me personlly I would love to see Cake again. And you a right they do play at smaller venues, but the smaller venues they play at are in major markets like D.C., Philly, and out West. Use to see Dr John alot back in the day.

Apples and I'll punch you in the fricking face.

I quit my fricking job in anticipation of getting tickets to that show. My wife left me because I wouldn't shut up about it. You ruined my life.

I'll see you in hell.

Man the Varsity schedule for the rest of the year is as cringeworthy as kingbob's posting

I agree with this but it's been a really good run. I've enjoyed this year. Alot. My wallet and liver will tell you the same.

Maybe you should tell your other board about it. This board is much nicer without you constantly trying too hard.

If the last week is any indication, that other board isn't as interesting as you want it to be.

It's not that unrealistic. Dr. John headlining Jazz Fest has as much to do with his being from Nola and being a Jazz Fest old-timer as it does with his ability to fill venues.

Someone is mad they didn't get an invite.

Jester, when are we gonna rage some metal? Lots of stuff coming to NOLA in the upcoming weeks.

I most certainly would not accept that invite if I got it. I'm sure that's where the Jam Bland circle jerk went.

Let me know when Opeth, Meshuggah, Katatonia, or Devin Townsend come. Those are about the only metal bands I listen to. I really haven't seen anything coming up in Nola that excites me. I'll be at Rush. Beyond that, it seems like good bands are just skipping Nola on the commute from Atlanta to Houston. It's really been a tough scene ever since Katrina.

I'd like to add William Elliott Whitmore to the list. Varsity is probably too big for him, though. I just want to see him again.

As have I. I'm looking forward to Yellowcard in a couple weeks. Will be a fun night of nostalgia for me.
