Awesome band. I first saw them around 10 years opening for The Captain Legendary Band at Chelseas.

Hiss Golden Messenger - kind of a catch-all for your request

Yonder Mountain String Band - more traditional bluegrass, jamgrass.

Railroad Earth - new-wave and more experimental bluegrass, jamgrass

Mandolin Orange - more traditional folk, bluegrass.

Steep Canyon Rangers - more traditional bluegrass (This isn't "Steve Martin's" band. He joined in late. These guys were around before Martin.)

well, considering his pedigree, not to mention his namesake

(Van Zandt), you'd hope he'd have something going for him.

Saw Childers at Hogs in Nola and he was great! Wasn’t a big fan until I saw him live and now I’m hooked. Dudes the real deal.

It’s sorta an underrated genre which you could probably add in “Americana” music too.

I am Not sure what’s underrated

I like Langehorn Slim

Haynes Carll is good

Old Crow I think Is under appreciated and is so much more than Wagon wheel
