Unabashed rip-off artists

Kurt Cobain openly admitted ripping off or copying the Pixies.
Who/what bands are blatant copycats in your opinion.
In short, douches making money who have no business doing so.

ETA I like, liked Cobain and Nirvana, do not construe this as a criticism. The guy was open and honest, and a damned good singer/songwriter.

Kings of Leon.
They were one of those 70s rock revival bands like Jet earlier, then they saw the winds change and immediately changed their look and sound to be more "current."
No matter how good they are, which honestly I do not find them appealing (maybe a little bit before the change), this is the most blatant rip off and clear violation of musical integrity to me.

Musical integrity no longer exists in the world of mainstream music. I'm sure there are plenty of small, independent bands/artists who make good original music. You just have to know where to find them.

To remove the stigma of "rip off artist", the Beatles were great at taking sounds created by other bands and then popularizing it and making it their own. Sgt. Pepper's, for example, was recorded down the hall from Floyd's first album. The Beatles took that psychadaelia and made it their own.
Untalented hacks who just blatantly ripped off other, more talented, people? Post-grunge is just littered with bands like this. Creed is probably the worst of them.

I like LZ, but they weren't a very creative band. They were musically talented, but they absolutely ripped off many other songs and claimed them as their own.
