I thought they acknowledged dixon in the credits?
Now they do. Becuase Willie Dixon sued the hell out of them. He spent the last half of his life suing rock musicians for stealing his songs. Zeppelin was among the worst offenders. The Stones were pretty good about giving credit, as they began as a blues cover band. They never hid their obvious debts.
And open tuning is sort of Keith Richards' signature. Though he believed in the magic of open G tuning.

Sounds like a lot of people jealous of Zeppelin to me.
They ripped off a lot of people's songs and didn't give them credit ...

so did the likes of the white recording industry against the black blues players. shite happens and people get fricked.

i agree it was crappy that they didn't give credit where it was due, but i also know that, as a child of the 70s, i probably would have never had any exposure to a lot of great american blues artists if i hadn't listened to led zeppelin, and a lot of other british blues rock artists/bands.

Downloading music and plagiarizing music are on entirely different levels. Stealing a person's life work and passing it off as your own is as low as it gets in any form of art, be it music or literature.

You sound like the type that likes to use straw man arguments.
I love Zeppelin, but I don't act like they didn't steal most of their songs. It's not hard to give the actual writers credit. Hendrix did it all the time, and a lot of people don't realize some of his songs are covers.

Ok but the difference is they gave credit to those song writers.
