It’s 11:40 am and no one has posted a review yet. How the mighty have fallen.

I liked this better than his last album personally.

Not for me.
Unfortunately, he will never be able to top Purgatory.

Rustin in the Rain
Space and Time
In Your Love
Phone Calls and emails
Help me make it through the Night
They’re all good but I’ve heard most of them before the release. Didn’t really like the others.

I’m pretty unimpressed by the songwriting on this one. Nothing grabs me.

TWo of the songs on this one are covers. Some of the others have been concert staples.
It's fine... but a pretty underwhelming release at 7 songs and under 30 minutes.

Its ok.
Nothing special.
His trajectory seems to be heading in the wrong direction.
Maybe he needs to get sturgill back in the studio with him.

I called this after the last “record”. There isn’t a great song on this record. Compare that to what Evan Felker just put out. It’s like kindergarten vs AP.

It’s a good set of songs but if you’re looking for “hooks” you won’t really find them. I haven’t at least.

Yeah nothing is bad here. Rustin in The Rain is probably the best track. In Your Love almost grabs me at times but it falls apart with that run on chorus.

Childers ain’t put out anything really worth listening to in years.

He's done. I've heard great songwriters talk about how it leaves them. It appears it has left him. We got quite a few really good songs from him so I'm not mad.

Nu-country, like Nu-metal back in the day, blows.

what in the world are you talking about
Posted on 9/13/23 at 9:50 am to genuineLSUtiger
That makes zero sense. There's no such genre as NU country, and if there were, Tyler Childers wouldn't be it.

Needs more bluegrass in it. Too many slow ballads.
