Why the hell would you do that if you don't like Phish? Usually I stop listening to bands I don't like fairly quickly.

Yeah, Trey has kinda reined things in a bit since '09 (although, lately he's seemed to occasionally break out of his bubble), but to say his abilities are lacking anything is crazy talk.

What's your opinion on Joe Bonamassa or Seasick Steve?

Everyone, list your top 5 Tweezers in order

You can pull examples from each era to hear shredding, funk, layered ambient, and psychedelic phrasing. The guy is a genius, not just from a playing perspective but from a compositional one as well with his early prog epics. Just a few choice cuts from Trey Anastasio. Yeah he isn't what he used to be but his work from 92-00 is untouchable.

It has been said by our dear ginger god himself that this is up there as one of his favorite jams he’s ever played...at the 9 minute mark, magic happens!

They would all be Tweezer Reprise—-sheer fire from opening chord to ending chord.

I’ve been telling these nerds this for years. They won’t listen... they will keep making donations to their shallow god and hang with all the chads at shows. You just can’t fix stupid.

Trey is, in fact, soulless and that’s the best part... he will never be able to change that. No matter how much noodling or how many fantasy stories he writes, he can never grasp what makes music great.
