Rush - 2112
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
The Who - Tommy
Frank Zappa -Joe's Garage

A number of Rush and Floyd albums could be here, but I selected the best of each for the category.

David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust is another excellent selection.

W.A.S.P. The Crimson Idol

Great concept album and their overall best IMO. Blackie Lawless is way underrated with his ingenuity and songwriting.

2112 is not a concept album. Common misconception about Rush. Their last album, Clockwork Angels, was their first concept album.

Yet it is commonly list among the top concept albums when such lists are published.

I have always accepted it as a concept album, albeit not a complete perfect concept album. And still one of the best of all time.

1. Thick as a Brick
2. Dark Side of the Moon
3. OK Computer
4. Fragile
5. Village Green Preservation Society

Hard to list just 5 tbh

Ziggy Stardust, Joe's Garage, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, and several others are just right outside the list

I've always thought that The Yardbirds' Little Games qualifies as a concept album, especially if a couple of the songs from the extended version are included.

Ogdens Nut Gone Flake is a great album and an awesome psychedelic one too. The title track rocks.
