Free stuff alert!!

settlement.livenation.com

I can't make it clickable for some reason, as the link won't work with the "www." but you can't make it clickable on this site without it, but whatever, go to that site.

Long story short - Class action lawsuit against Ticketmaster/Livenation. Any time you used your account to purchase tickets between 1999 and 2013, you now get a voucher for 2 free tickets, up to 17 vouchers.

I got the max of 17 since I've had the same Ticketmaster account for as long as I can remember.

You can't use it for any show you want, but there is a list of shows available in your area(and additional shows will be added periodically) on that link.

There are actually some decent shows listed for vouchers but non in LA or TX. Zero shows listed in LA actually.

The vouchers are good thru 2020, so I'm sure the list will change/update.

I'm not sure that is true. It says the discount codes are good until 2020. It doesn't really imply that other concerts will be available with the voucher.

Well that would be a really shitty settlement, and really no point of having a 2020 expiration if all the concerts they have listed are within the next like 2 months.

Is this the one from a couple of years ago? I used up all my $2.25 voucher codes and they never announced any new free shows after that first year.

They’ve done a small handful of shows since.

They cap the free tix at a certain number per year while the discounts can be used anytime.

I got a few decent ones out of it but if you are near a large venue with general admission lawn seating in the rear it seems you had the most opportunities for major tour tix. Which makes sense.

The eligible event list is now closed and the ticket voucher requirements have been fulfilled.

The FAQ does say they could add shows periodically.

I signed up for notifications as shows are added to the Dallas area.

Yea, same one.

Not sure what new happened. I think they're releasing it in waves from what I understand.

Yeah, its total bullshite back when it started a couple of years back. I have yet to see a show that I like, much less could pull off.

I think HOB is the only venue in New Orleans it even applies to.

PHX had like 15 eligible events for this current round. I still had 12 free show vouchers.

Tried using them on a couple of the shows listed (311/The Offspring and NEEDTOBREATHE were 2 of the shows I tried using it on)....could never get the voucher code to work. Something weird with livenation website. I would paste the voucher code in the box but could never get it to apply to the balance. Kept showing I owed the full amount for the tickets. So I gave up.

And of course...now all the vouchers have been used.

I used it summer of 2016 for Weezer and then the Rob Zombie/Korn/In This Moment show. Lawn seats at an outdoor amphitheater venue.
