Saw them live a few years back at the house of blues... When Jenkins calms down on stage, he sounds ok,. However, when he gets amped up on stage, he sounds like shite. Songs like "graduate" suck live while "motorcycle drive by" sound good. Also, they were breaking in a new guitarist and it sounded like he didn't know most of the songs yet. Great studio band and I always enjoy their albums

They have two platinum albums from the 90's . Self titled sold 6M. I'd say thats upper tier. Like less than 1% of all signed rock acts in the 90's.
And even signing under Elektra with Sylvia (dumbass) Rhone. Had they gone with Clive self titled woulda went diamond IMO

They were alright. They were no Matchbox 20 though.

Anyone remember X-Games 1? 3EB was featured on the commercials(semi-charmed life). Remembered this today.

f y'all really want a great, do yourselves a favor and YouTube the following unreleased tracks: gorgeous, scattered and alright Caroline.
Nothing worse than going to one of their concerts and hearing 19 year old kids yell to play jumper or SCL. Their best stuff was never released. Quality sucks on all but they are great anyways imo
Scattered
Separation
Gorgeous
Alright Caroline
Sorry
Walk with the Devil

Incredibly underrated band. Self titled and Blue are great listens front to back. In fact, The Background is one of my favorite songs evar.
Probably my second favorite 90s band after Tool.
Favorite songs:
1. The Background
2. Thanks A Lot
3. Anything
4. Narcolepsy
5. 1000 Julys
Seen them in concert twice, most recently in 08 or 09 at shitty ULM of all places.

Jenkins is a major douche in real life, but I love me some 3Eb
He was banging Vanessa Carlton for a while, yes?
Whatever happened to her? I always liked her music.

Man this thread brings back some great memories from my senior year in HS.
Love all the songs listed, especially Wounded and Motorcycle Drive By... Losing a Whole Year as well. Too many great songs. I'm gonna throw another lesser known out there..... Camouflage. Different, but vintage 3eb. Blared that song on some fuzzy late night/early mornings with the windows down.
The album Blue.
They encapsulate the late 90's/early 2000s for me.

He's still in love with Charlize Theron and trying to convince every woman since that he's not.
