Will Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness ever go down as one of the greatest albums? Seems no one acknowledges it anymore..

I hear songs from it on the radio frequently

I'd hope so.
Love this band.
Love this band.

MCATIS has to be one of the best records made in the last 20 years even though there was some fluff on it.

Their set at voodoo is without a doubt the worst live performance I've ever seen in my life in every aspect

A friend of mine told me how terrible their live performance was.

Boy, do we have different taste in music. I absolutely detest that album. It's like leftover prog rock from the 70s with a 90s grunge veneer. Different strokes and all.

Ok maybe KISS didn't start out as a cheesy manufactured band, but that is what they became. I'm not a fan of their music. Who the hell said anything about bands with weird time signatures. Now you are making assumptions.

I see a lot of comments on their live performance being bad....Pumpkins have had GREAT live performances...now...not so much...IHA was bigger to the band than Corgan will ever admit.

Same here... loved Gish, liked Siamese Dream... Saw them at the State Palace in '93 with the Swervedriver... both of them put on a helluva show...

For their first 4 albums, yes. For the ones the followed, they should be removed from ballot.
Keep in mind they were NOT that original by any means. They were good, yes. I say okay...but not anytime soon.

I'm listening to all of "Gish" right now and your post made me LOL like mad.
"Gish" was their best album, by far.

Siamese Dream best imo
Mayonaise is my all time favorite SP song.
But I do love Gish and Mellon Collie.
Love that Mellon Collie has a song for me for any mood I may be in.

They aren't even the Pumpkins anymore. Billy is just raping the name on the reg.

SP without Jimmy is well SP without Jimmy.

Hell, James isn't even in the band anymore. It's just a Billy Corgan sideshow act at this point.

D'arcy has been gone for years. Last I heard she was smoking crack at some farm she had bought. So the answer is no, other than Billy Corgan. I've tried listening to The Future Embrace and it sucked. That is what he's calling the Smashing Pumpkins now.
