I can respect the accomplishments of the Beatles but I never cared for them. It isn't my style of music.

That is quite odd that you have the Oakridge Boys on Mount Rushmore with the Beach Boys.

Is it because of the harmonies?

If he likes Elvira over Imagine then that is his opinion. Nothing wrong with that.

Says the guy that loves Emo bands. Even that shitty music came and went well over a decade ago.

I don't even know what an EMO Band is.
What the hell is that?

Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, etc. It was a fad that came along a few years after Nu Metal. Popular with guys that are full of estrogen.

The Used and MCR had better and heavier riffs than 90% of 80’s metal bands. Pierce the Veil can outshred literally any 80’s band that didn’t include Steve Vai or Paul Gilbert. You can hate on emo vocals for being high pitched and whiny sounding, but don’t pretend none of those bands had musical talent. In my opinion, most of the hate lobbed at mall emo bands was due to fashion and their fanbases which were overwhelmingly female and weird.

I saw Billy Strings on TV and wanted to claw my ears off.

Reminded me of Mumford and Sons. I know this will not be popular on here but I like Hits. I like songs that made it to the radio. I have been to 230 concerts at stadiums and major arenas mostly. Only a few have been at a HOB or Casino.

This is either a troll take or a really juvenile take. Both bands still sell out stadiums and if we’re sticking with the genre Paramore just knocked off Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny from the charts a couple months ago.

Thanks. The euro metal scene much bigger. More dynamic. The kids over there have better educations and that includes music. Hence they appreciate more various types of music.

Check out symphonic metal lovers page on fb. Suggestions always going up of stuff to listen to.

Consolidation also ruined music. At one time, Clearchannel owned SFX entertainment and premier radio networks. That meant it controller a majority of radio stations while being the largest syndicator of radio programming and operating arenas. Big time bottleneck.

They centralized djs, made music selection focus group based. And altered the musical landscape

Tech kind of ruined all that but now as I said earlier streaming destroyed profit motive for artists.

I've never been a big metal guy, but started listening to Ghost about a week and haven't been able to stop.
