SCI is not one tier. There is no debate on that. No one tier bands are still around i.e. Grateful Dead, ABB, 90's Phish.
You should go to SCI. Kang>Trey

NOLA.com review of Phish at Jazz Fest
has this been posted yet? Some gems in there

After about an hour, I plunged even deeper into the crowd. In the interior, Phish fans huddled on the sandy dirt. Herbaceous smoke, emitted from misshapen cigarettes that are entirely legal in Washington and Colorado wafted into the air. A young man offered to trade me a powerful stimulant for my wide-brimmed straw hat. I declined, pointing out that he wasn't even sunburned. Caravans of travelers came and went, carrying boxes of beer cans and water, searching for their villages. A society was coming about before my eyes.

A young woman from New Orleans named Jennifer F. Alla was a Phish first timer, like me. But by the concert's two-hour mark, her opinion was formed. "I think they are individually eclectic," she said and spontaneous geniuses all at once. I think they are oratorically orgasmic."

Yeah during Clapton yesterday I had a group of 15 people from NYC who were socializing the entire time. It was a strange group. They had two chicks that I think were prostitutes or something because each dude took turns motorboating them and humping them then they all took a bunch of mushrooms. They were going pretty hard for a bunch of 50 year olds.
thatll be me and blue velvet one day

I was wondering. I saw whole bunch of those stickers during Phish on Saturday.

I lol'd at the bachelor party dudes wearing pink tanks that said "Live like you've never been loved and dance like no body is watching" or something like that

I got that sticker as well. Did you give it to me?

I thought Clapton was great. Tons of Derek & the Dominos classics (Tell the Truth, Key to the Highway, Nobody Knows When You're Down and Out, Layla) and some superb extended blues jams. I wish there would have been some Cream though. White Room would have been sick. The crowd was definitely older, but that made for some spectucular MILF appearences
my thoughts exactly. I just wish he would've done sunshine or at least the electric version of Layla. still enjoyed the show thoroughly though.

I think the acoustic Layla is a staple now probably because he can't sing the real version anymore.

It has nothing to do with the singing and everything to do with no one being able to replicate Duane's slide

Well that's not true

For some reason, The Advocate wrote an entire article about these guys. The article basically profiled their general douchery while they are in town from San Fran for a bachelor party.

when Derek Trucks was touring with him he could have played the slide like Duane..

I really enjoyed Paul Carrack singing How Long. That was pretty good stuff imo.

They looked like extreme mega bros. I saw more high fives in that 10 minute than I have seen all year.

You say that like Clapton hasn't played the electric version of Layla since 1971.

Speaking of slide, I was kinda hoping that Sonny Landreth made an appearance with Clapton yesterday.
