They are from Austin though, so there's that.

And Houston is a better music city than BR is.

Meaning, they get waaaay better acts and more of them. Fitzgeralds is incredible.

Austin Lucas/glossary
BJ Barham

That's since April, so really not that many.

I missed him at waka and was dissapointed until I saw his smart arse twitter post regarding the lack of people at his show.

He said something along the lines of he hopes everyone isn't listening to some "bullshite slappity bass music instead". Just rubbed me wrong, dude youre at a music festival that centers around frickING BLUEGRASS get off your high horse.

I know some people don't care, but a shitty attitude kills a band for me. I have just had the opportunity to hang out with too many well-known bands that were genuinely excited to hang out. You are a musician, nothing more. Get off your pedestal and make friends.

Thats my take on it as well and hell he could've been joking idk... I didn't take it that way though.

and he is not near big enough to have that sense of entitlement about him. Hell he was playing one of the smallest stages that festival offered....

Isbell has always been a pretty large jerk in my eyes. Hell of a songwriter.

But he's pretty full of himself.
The band that opened at the manship said he told them that they could t have alcohol backstage

I guess because he's going through AA now, no one can drink around him or something.

Hello! You're playing in bars man

We've had both said this before but.... The dude is just fricking strange, and not in a good "left brain artistic free spirit" kind of way

Without a doubt, I was very dissapointed I didn't catch him at Waka at first and if I had been with a different crowd of friends I would've went I just didn't want to go sit by myself.

but after that post he definitely struck me as

and now I don't really give a frick about seeing him.

It was the first time I had saw him in a while a couple weeks ago. Probably the last time for a while.

The only way I will is if its at a festival and convenient. I won't be going out of my way to catch him.
