SMB by so far it shouldn't even be up for debate.
DMB has some really great songs but nowhere near the quality catalogue of SMB.

Come on, Steve Miller is awesome.
I don't much care for DMB, I can't get over the arrogant a-hole that leads the band. Also I think his voice is weird. Also they dumped a ton of shite on a boat full of tourists one time

I get the impression from him really. His demeanor does it for me. I know he does a lot of good, and I'm all for it. I just look at him and get this, "I can't fricking stand you" feeling.
That isn't much of an explanation, and I don't expect people to agree with it, but it is how I feel. I don't enjoy his music; I change the radio every time I hear him. He practically ruins Jam On when I'm in my wife's car.

SMB should almost be disqualified just for that stinker Abracadabra. Luckily the rest of his stuff is strong. I like DMB also, but these two are hard to compare since they are very different bands.
