Here are a couple more:

Trudy- The Charlie Daniels Band
Most people forget Charlie Daniels had a hell of a good rock band back in the day.

Magnolia- JJ Cale
From his album Naturally which also contained the original cuts of Cocaine and After Midnight which he wrote and later were covered pretty successfully by Clapton. Magnolia is still one of the best panty-droppers of all time.

Zebra

They don't have the "southern" rock sound but they are from New Orleans.

How about the Black Crowes? They are the southern rock band of our era and never get the recognition as such. I've never understood that.

I've only seen them twice, but neither was a full show. After seeing the setlist they did at Mahalia in may, I was sick that I missed it. The lauberge show was great but I needed a little more. And the addition of Jackie Greene takes them to a different level IMO. I hope that's permanent but kinda doubt it.

I really just want honey island swamp band to get bigger. I feel like they've got a lot of potential. Just don't have the audience. They need a new manager IMO

Prodigal Son - HISB

Pure Prairie League- You're Between Me

Good call! PPL was one of the bands from the genre that didn't get the notoriety they deserved. A talented bunch of guys with some memorable songs.

Point Blank is another Southern Rock band from that era that I really like, but most people don't know anything about them.

Point Blank - point blank 1976 (full album)

Dirty Sweet

Is this band considered Southern Rock? I think it falls in the category.
