Sorry to be basic, but check out Tool’s newest album, especially Pneuma and Chocolate Chip Trip.

Agreed. Unfortunately they’re not real drums. When the band was recording the album in the summer/fall of 1982, they couldn’t get the big sounds that producer Mutt Lange wanted, no matter how they tuned them, where the kit was setup in the room, or how the mics were placed.
So, Lange used a Fairlight machine to program those drum parts, and drummer Rick Allen was not happy about that. I listened to that album for 25 years thinking, “Wow the drums sound better than any other album from that era”, before I found out they were programmed electronic sounds.
Lange did the same thing for the Hysteria album too, even though Rick Allen insisted he was ready and able to play after his accident, but Lange didn’t want to delay the album any longer because they were already years behind schedule on it.
The only parts on either album that are played by Rick are the cymbals.

Pull Me Under - Dream Theater
You could basically list any Dream Theater song, with either drummer, and it would be other worldly…

Correct - if anything Pull me Under is underwhelming as that is probably the easiest DT song to play on drums straight through (says my long time drummer friend)
My favorite is the intro to 6:00 and outro to Finally Free from Live Scenes

You must have a good bass player.

The entire 5150 album. Alex Van Halen went to another level. Especially the song 5150.
Rush Signals album. Subdivisions is a masterpiece.
