And Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight is the best song on the album.
It might not be the best song on the album, but it's in the top two.

Neil Peart dislikes Closer To The Heart....
Neil and Geddy have argued about playing that song for the past 15 years. Geddy gets upset with him about it and then they put it to Alex and he also says he would rather play something else.
With instances like this, I don't think it is that they hate the song, they just got tired of playing it and have other songs they would have more fun playing.

The story behind Warrant's Cherry Pie is pretty well known. They HATE it.
I saw the lead singer on a show being interviewed and he had an epic melt about the song. He was to the point of almost crying. It was awesome!

Supposedly Jim Morrison hated Light My Fire because it was written mostly by Robby Krieger.

Jim Morrison indicated in his notebooks that he disliked this song and hated performing it. He also seemed to resent that the popularity of the band derived from this song, which he had just a small part in writing.

Kings of Leon hates Sex on Fire and their other radio hits. They talk about how they heard the most corny, empty pop songs come on the radio and then their song came on the same station right after and it crushed them
So, they didn't realize how corny and pedestrian it was before that?

Radiohead hates Creep, no?
they like Creep, but are sick of playing it and being asked to play it some 20 something years later.

People would show up to Radiohead concerts just to hear that song and then leave, which frustrated the famously temperamental Yorke to no end (despite the fact that Radiohead deliberately capitalized on its success by specifically touring in countries where it was popular).
quote:
He quickly grew to despise "Creep" for making him a poster boy for self-loathing (in addition to, and we cannot stress this enough, making his band both popular and relevant). He rechristened the song "Crap,"
Weezer's Cuomo on Pinkerton:
quote:
It's a hideous record. It was such a hugely painful mistake that happened in front of hundreds of thousands of people ... and [it] just won't go away. It's like getting really drunk at a party and spilling your guts in front of everyone and feeling incredibly great and cathartic about it, and then waking up the next morning and realizing what a complete fool you made of yourself.
quote:
It's just a sick album, sick in a diseased sort of way. It's such a source of anxiety because all the fans we have right now have stuck around because of that album. But, honestly, I never want to play those songs again; I never want to hear them again.

Lennon didn't like the Sgt Pepper's album.
