Just got through my almost third full listening (I skipped Hidden Track and Supersymmetry after the first go around because they're really really boring and pointless).
Pretty different and more complex than other AF albums, just a lot more going on.Other than the title track it's not as immediately catchy as Funeral or Suburbs, but after just a few more listens I've started to like it more and more.
This is the best album of 2013, just like The Suburbs was the best album the year it came out, and Funeral when it came out. The dudes just pump out great fricking albums.
I've come to the conclusion that Arcade Fire is the best band of this current musical generation, and if they keep doing what they're doing, they will end up being one of the greatest bands of all time.

Is there a link where I can listen? I've never been able to get into this band. I thought that first album was boring as hell, and the only song I've ever kinda liked by them was "No Cars Go."

Start with Funeral then move on to Suburbs. This newest album is a little different than those two. You can really tell the James Murphy influence.

I'm surprised you two heads aren't more into the 'Fire
1. Funeral
2a. Suburbs
2b.. Reflektor
4. Neon Bible

I posted a link to the entire album a few nights ago (they leaked it themselves), but it seems as though Youtube has taken it down. I'll see if I can find one. It's pretty unreal...even if you're not into their music there is no denying that the dudes are unbelievably talented.

Is there a link where I can listen?

Been meaning to check this out. Did anyone else see them at ACL a couple years back?

What'd you think of that show? I was pretty messed up and then I ate some doses for the Fleet Foxes show and I just couldn't get into this one. The sound was all messed up.
I love me some Arcade Fire in the studio. Are they a good live band?
eta: basically I'm asking if that specific show was as bad as I remember

I was side stage where the sound is always fricked up so I honestly couldn't tell you. They didn't sound bad to me but the acoustics are weird at that angle so it's hard to say. I've always really loved their live show, SO much energy.

I really enjoyed the Arcade Fire Jazzfest 2011 show.

Glad you enjoyed it. For awhile I was really turned-off by their music because of this show.

They are a phenomenal live band. One of the single best shows I have ever seen, and I saw them before I had heard a song by them. After the show, virtually the entire audience went to their merch table to buy their album (Funeral, at the time).

Glad to hear your positive reviews Baloo. My friends came away with the same experience as I, so I had to ask. Hopefully I'll be able to see them again.

Never really listened to much of their stuff. But I trust you Dan if you say so.

Believable, but not sure if true. What Varsity show? The only one I've been to this year was Arctic Monkeys.
