Sounds like they are going to do two whole sets
30 year anniversary of melon collie album and also unique set list spanning 40 years of hits.
Anyone going to see?
Might check them out in Portland Nov 1

I would go if it was Gish & Siamese Dream in 2 sets. That would be amazing.

I saw them open for Green Day a couple of years ago. They were good but not great. But then I am not at all a fan of huge arena rock shows.

I got a pair of tickets in the pre-sale.
I saw them back in 2018 and they were awesome - they only played songs from the 90s albums as that was the point of that tour. Saw them again a couple years ago with Janes Addiction opening. First off, Jane's killed. SP were also very good, but the setlist featured more new songs which kinda fell flat.
I'm excited for this, because I was hoping they would do a show for the 25th anniversary of Mellon Collie but Covid killed that. This should be a good one.

I saw them on that tour and agree with your assessment, I know this board hates Green Day but they were very good live. I would still go see this if it came near New Orleans. If they play to their strengths and go all in on production it could be epic. I love their comeback moment for them.

The production they put together for the Shiny and Oh So Bright tour in 2018 (the one where they only played songs from their 90s albums) was top notch. There were lots of amazing visuals and nostalgia that hits you in the feels. I wouldn't be surprised if they go all out again for this tour.

No D'arcy, no care
D’arcy is great but Billy, James and Jimmy still touring together is amazing and will be amazing.

Yeah. I snagged two tickets in the lower level for about $100 each. That's less than most shows....but still high IMO. But I'm ok with it for this type of show.
