They put on a good show, but their fans are kinda weird.

Slipknot has some good music if your into metal.
From all that I have heard live of them(they have material) they sound very good live for a band of their sound IMO

It'd be odd if they played the Fairgrounds, but all genres have been represented at Jazz Fest late nights for quite some time now.

My initial thought exactly, but Nola.com had an article awhile back stating that Champions Square was creating a concert series that would draw big acts.

Hopefully this draws even more huge metal acts that tend to pass New Orleans up all the time on touring runs.

The last time they played New Orleans was 10 years ago. It was a great show too. Hopefully Champions Square can turn into a legit outdoor venue.
