My friends, The Kid Carsons, playing their song When the Light Shakes Through. Directly from their bedroom to yours.

This was our first attempt at making a video

(can someone youtube it and link it for me? I'm at work and it's blocked - The Kid Carsons - When the Light Shakes Throug TIA music board homies)

I like the song, but the guy singing is, well not that great. Maybe change the words up a little just have the girl sing the entire song. Well, never mind just heard more of the girl.

Oh well, you can have a successful career writing and composing.

What'd yall think of the first time video attempt? It was shot with my Rebel t1i, free handed.

I personally thought it was pretty good. The guys voice is unique, not that it's bad, but many people are going to be one way or the other with it.

decent video, I'd strip the techno gadgets out of the shot so it has more of a rough-hewn look and fits their style better.

Good idea. It was our first attempt and that is actually his bedroom, as is. My favorite part is the drummer sitting in that old arse chair doing his thing.

Thanks man

I didn't think that the guy's voice was that bad. Pretty solid stuff.

I know there be some negative views soley based off the genre of the music. I thought it was pretty badass for the first one we did, but I was a part of it so

Love it. People hating on homeboys voice are crazy. He and the girl harmonize very well. I have no complaints with any of it but I'm sure an Austin based producer would be able to tweek the sound a little and make these guys some money.
I'm a sucker for pedal geetar too.

The video work is ok, I like the lighting very much. Editing was almost nonexistent so I think you could probably make it more interesting by telling somewhat of a story.

Thanks, man. Will let you know if they head your way anytime soon. If you're in NOLA let me know if you're down for a jam session.
