A young Peter Frampton used to wait outside of Olympic Sound Studios in Barnes London while the Rolling Stones recorded in late 1963 in order to acquire Keith Richards' and Brian Jones' used guitar strings.

A few years ago I met the original "Paula," from the 1963 hit song, "Hey, Paula." She and the songwriter, Ray Hildebrand, were college friends, and she was with him when he wrote the song. They recorded it together and it became a local hit. When the song was bought by a record company, they decided they didn't want an Hispanic female singer, so Jill Jackson got the record deal. Paula Estrada wasn’t bitter about it. She enjoyed the experience and went on to become a popular Tejano singer, later inducted into the Tejano Music Hall of Fame.

I was a kid when this song came out and my mom was young enough to still watch American Bandstand and we watched together.

Hey Paula

Sundown is about Cathy Smith, the woman associated with Belushi's death and connected to many other musicians, some of which as their drug dealer.

Which is why it's inclusion in Knives Out is the best inside joke in the movie. A song about a woman who kills a celebrity with an accidental overdose in a movie about a woman who thinks she kills a celebrity with an accidental overdose.

there are some amazing pics online of Paul and Linda at Mardi Gras during the recording of that album, if youre inclined to google them
and in the poster included with the album, the negative has been reversed (note Paul with the cane in his right hand, the positioning of the cameras in the photographers’ hands, and some of the lettering on the musicians’ hats is backwards):

Hammett wrote the main riff to Enter Sandman, the song which propelled the band into the commercial stratosphere...

True, Hammett wrote a version of the riff, but Lars arranged it into its current configuration.

The only album that Ricky Medlocke appeared on with the original lineup was "First and Last"......so he was on the First and he is the Last.

Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

Was originally written as In the Garden of Eden.

They were all wasted in the studio when they recorded it. They made the decision to leave it that way.

Who, by the way, is the current drummer for The Who. Drummer trivia- he rarely uses hi hats. Keith Moon rarely used hi hats as well.
