I saw The Firm in '85 and it was great but they played no Zeppelin tunes. In '88, Page released Outrider, his first solo album and the first show was at the Omni in Atlanta. Was an amazing show. He encored with Stairway and the entire crowd sang the lyrics while he played along. "And as we wind on down the road..." Was incredible. Page was touched. Very cool memory.

I think this is the final play by Plant. He kicked it back to "The Capricorns" back in early 2014 (shortly after the Kennedy Center Honors) -
I mean, they turned down a billion (with a "b") dollars years ago to do a major world tour - 300+ dates or whatever. I respect their ability to say no to that, but in their declining years, they're more likely to do a limited run - perhaps a feature film attached and do one last "Swan Song" (pardon the pun). But that won't yield a guaranteed billion dollars - now, they can get there if the film does well, a new album, ~ 150 dates (which would be a lot for those guys) - but you're talking about guys who are already at high 8, low 9 figures in wealth - this will just be a last ego ride and to pile up the cash for their heirs, honestly.

Only Guns N Roses has a lesser chance of doing anything meaningful. Sure, Jimmy and Robert might get together with a JPJ play-alike and Bonzo's son and do a song or 2 for some huge charity, but 7- year old men touring? Only the Stones can go that hardcore.

Plant has stated he has no interest in being a Led Zep karaoke machine with what time he has left in this world. He'd rather make new music, with Krall,etc..

But's he's not consistent on this - and I think it is because they (Jimmy and JPJ) let him be the schizo mouthpiece for the press, while someone is doing the hard talking behind the scenes - I don't think he has "zero" interest, but if they were going to cash in, they would have done it a decade ago - heck, even Jason is pushing 50.

So, he's always been hot and cold. He's not worried about JPJ - although I do not think they were ever close - I think he's worried if Jimmy will turn in an A effort or just sleepwalk through it - Page has been much better of late, rather than the ill-fated get togethers in the 80s and 90s.
And, honestly, Plant's voice just isn't up to 2 to 2 1/2 hours of Zeppelin tunes any longer - the demands of that would be hardest on him, IMHO.
I think a better solution - for the band and it's legacy is to (with or without new material) - do a special event concert - maybe play 2 or 3 shorter shows over a weekend in NYC or L.A. - on 1 ticket -and incorporate it into a retrospective film - Led Zeppelin: Swan Song - kind of bookending with the film The Song Remains the Same. Do 4 to 6 weeks of rehearsal to lead up to it and then fade to black on the whole "Led Zeppelin" thing.
Just my $0.02.
A tour, while it would generate money, buzz, and probably drive some sales, just seems the wrong for the band.

While I would love to see it I don't think it ever happens.
Watch the O2 show and how Page plays compared to page and plant tours and especially Zeppelin days. IMO page has arthritis and can't play like he used to or would want to.
I am about as big of a Zeppelin fan as I know and would love to see them in any way again I just don't see it. Percy and Jonsey still have active music careers and could do something I am not sure Page could do much other than what he has been doing keeping the LZ catalog in front of younger generations.
I would love to be proven wrong but I have fallen for too many reunion ideas in the past. I'll enjoy my boots and memories until is see something concrete.

I went to the last Led Zeppelin concert in Dallas. I've enjoyed some Robert Plant concerts since then (especially when he had Phil Collins drumming), but they are too damn old to go on tour.

The PMAC has and will never rumble more than the night John Paul Jones set up his drums and played. I can still feel the vibration of his double bass cacaphony my head today!

Truly, one of the best shows I've ever seen was old as shite Bruce Springsteen the year before Clarence Clemens died. I'm not even a huge Springsteen guy, but he made sweet, violent, righteous love to 180K ears in that arena that night.

I would rather see them do a new album with 10 original songs of acoustic driven blues and then do a one Time live even tover a couple of nights with a documentary

I understand why so many of y'all want to see this, but it's never going to happen. Plant will not be drawn back onto the madness and games that Page plays behind the scenes. The cliques that form and the bullshite that go with being in Zeppelin lost interest for him well before Bonham died.
