PASADENA, Texas -- Country music artist Mickey Gilley dies at 86 years old, according to Mayor of Pasadena Jeff Wagner.

The girls all get prettier at closing time

Damn. One head of the three headed Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley monster is gone.

Sad day. Dad used to tell me stories of his club In Houston back in the 80s. Would loved to have been a fly on the wall

Honestly I did too. Jerry has been in pretty bad shape the last couple of years but don’t forget that Mickey couldn’t even play piano anymore after he broke his back and became temp paralyzed so I’m sure at 86 that kinda caught up to him .

I occasionally hear people say they wish they had been old enough for Woodstock, or this era, or that era. I personally wish I had been old enough for the urban cowboy era. I was but a wee lad in the days when it seemed like half the cars in Houston had Gilley's stickers slapped on their bumpers.
