Musician. But then you have holiday inn bands like Florida Georgia line talking shite saying he's bad. It's the arrogance of undeserved fame. Once you hit that luck level, you plateau because your head gets big and you don't strive to get better.

there has always been pop music that appealed to the masses. Hell in the 60's/70's you had folks buying records from The Archies, The Partridge Family and The Monkees, and they were fake bands.

It's art for sure, but he could also be up there doing what Ronald jenkees does while singing and be a musician. The dramatic shite of pressing buttons doesn't impress me as much as song structure and lyrics. Fun though.

All I'm saying is if this was a board of musicians and producers, there wouldn't be much of a fight.

Oh I thought this was going to be a hate rap thread.

Instead it's a "These kids today don't know good rap, when I was a kid we had REAL rap" thread.

Everyone would sound the same if they used the same structure, time, tuning, etc

I know that. That's why most rap sounds the same. It's why they have to scream their name at the beginning of every song, so you can tell who's who.

And a lot of artists use too much of the same structure and get made fun of. Nickelback,

Why is a 4/4 the default beat? Why does it make the most sense?

He is an embarrassment to anyone that actually plays. I've seen videos of it, and he is arguably one of the worst I have ever seen attempt playing. You couldn't be more wrong.

damn, you're really stuck up on this shite.

People don't actually like to listen to Frank Zappa.

And I guess you don't consider EVH a musician.

I do think you're mad that your music theory class counts for squat in the real world. Also, you're not Ray Charles.

You think the average rap fan knows anything about music theory?

I never said he was good. My point was that playing an instrument doesn't necessarily make you a musician.

Look, wasn't trying to sound conceited, but when you dedicate your life to something, it's very very serious. And a threat to my well being. Art and music is subjective, talent is not. It can be measured and judged. You'd listen to a doctor about medicine, a farmer about food, a computer repair man about electronics, but when it comes to a musician, everyone somehow becomes experts equal to the guy who studied it. If someone doesn't like my music, fine. Don't buy it, it's a particular genre for a particular audience. But at least every bit of it is original, and the credits page is very minimal. I'm very proud of the schooling and sometimes that makes people sound big headed, but when you see people doing a shitty job at your profession, it's aggravating.

Let it go man. You can't do anything about whatever you're mad about.

how do I listen to your music? Where would I need to go, and what would I need to search to find it?
