No showing or cancelling, or being physically unable to perform, is probably more common in country music lore than anything else.

Bon Scott on the other hand would show up and just turn into a demon after drinking a bottle of whisky.

Never heard of Wallen before the series w Ole Piss this weekend.

Just checked out some of his music. Don't understand what the fuss is about.

Also saw where someone named Jelly Roll won a bunch of country music awards this year. Checked him out also.

What is being called pop country music these days is so foreign to me.

Thank goodness there's still some new artists not afraid to stick to our honky tonk roots.

Congrats on complete ignorance of the biggest selling star of the past several years. You win the boomer prize.

Ignorance is bliss.

Hey I'm open to new music. Enlighten me, does this guy have honky tonk songs as deeper cuts on his albums? Please share. You know, like other newish artists that do this well, such as Sturgill Simpson or Charlie Crockett.

Help me out.

He looks like a poor version of Joe Diffie.

You don't need to be a boomer to understand that Wallen isn't very good and wouldn't make it during the gold age of country music.

Jelly Roll has a good voice but his comfort zone is in rap and not country.

Dale Watson purposely gets wasted at every show and manages to put on a great one. He wrote this song about Wallen before he was born.

Country My arse

I can absolutely vouch for this. Dale drinks from beginning to end and puts on a HELLUVA true country music show.

Highly recommended if you ever get the chance. He takes requests too! The only song I couldn't ever get him to sing was "Empty Glass" by Gary Stewart. Dale said he just couldn't get thru it. Tore him up too much.
