3.5/5.. Solid Berman, though not his best!

3.2/5 made it through in the hope it'd rate higher (and it did).

Kept hearing Mark Knopfler doing Billy Idol to a way too cyclical rift. That eventually saved itself by drifting into surf guitar. Which I'd of kinda preferred to have come in-an-out through out it's entirety.

"Sleepwalking" - Molly Tuttle:

This is her coming out video where she finally displays it's alopecia and not just a case of bad hair.

Solid acoustic guitar work. Grating voice with too much vibrato. I’m usually a sucker for tunes by women with relatively unique voices, but....no. Made it halway through the song. May have made it all the way through if I had just listened and didn’t watch the video.
And on that note...

The Darkness is a fun band that is unapologetically banging that 80s hair metal sound. This is a decent enough song, but there’s nothing about it that grabs me.

Think some of the emotion is lost from her voice by the slurring of the vocals, but I liked it.

It’s a good cover and fresh take on the original. The original is a 5/5

I'm not digging it. It's like a third rate Tom Petty impersonator with vocal fry. 2/5.

This band is kind of hard to define as they blend a bunch of different genres together. Here, Baby G is out in front but that's usually not the case.

Shinobi Ninja- Saw Red

ETA: Bonus song, not up for rating.

I really didn't want to like that song, but I couldn't help but enjoy it. The singer's vocal arrangement was too formulaic for me to rate higher, but this was a solid selection.

I'll check out that second song in a moment. In the meantime, here's my next one:

I am a casual PTM fan and really like some of their songs. This one was good but I prefer some of their other stuff.

I could definitely listen to more of it. I would need to be in the right mood to listen to much of it, but that's true of most music for me. That dog was a spaz, though.

Just not really my style of music. A little too poppy, but it does remind me of 80's style music. Sounds like they're going for a Queen/Panic at the Disco sound which is very meh to me

3.5/5 Love the piano and overall feel of this one. Has a nice NOLA Blues/Jazz element to it, and it is also quite haunting in a way. My only issue is that it became a bit repetitive as it progressed (or didn't progress?), and I realized when it was over that I sort of tuned out for the final 2 mins or so. This is one that with repeated listens I could see my rating rising.

Really digging this one! Parts of it sound much more modern than it is. It almost sounds like it could have been a soundgarden song at times, lots of unexpected chord changes. Really cool b-side from a great band.

I'll give it 4.5/5 stars. But I'm biased because I'm a Struts fan. This particular song favors the band fun. alot.

I like the vocalist in this band. Her name is Carina Zachary.

Husbandry- Elder Spencer Deery

Bonus track: Carina singing Iron Maiden.

For the Husbandry one gotta be honest 1.5 / 5

I’m not a fan of metal and Satan and stuff so I’m coming at this with a bias so keep that in mind, but the growling I found sort of corny and the heavy music hurt my ears, I was glad for a reprieve when it got silent for a sec. It got half a point because the ending part almost had a little melody to it and couple thst with her singing (the part where she says something about breakdown) was almost ok.

Hope that wasn’t too harsh

Lol. What's Satan got to do with anything? And then you post a song that was clearly made with a Casio keyboard after a bad Quaalude trip. Zero stars, don't date rape anyone like the dude in your trailer park song.

I liked that a lot (not shocked since our tastes seem to overlap a decent amount). Sounded like a good drinking song. And a good driving song. Not at the same time, of course.

I can't tell if I like the singer's voice or not - instrumentally is was enjoyable.

It's ok. Reminds me of mid 90's deep alternative bands. With few exceptions I always found them to be boring and melodramatic.
