New album by the Pretenders was released today. I saw them at 3rd Man Records in Nashville a few weeks ago and they played a few of the new tracks. I was excited after hearing the songs live. Chrissie's band is so good. They have been together for over 10 years and are really hitting their stride. I liked the last album Hate For Sale a lot, and after the first listen, I think I like Relentless even more.

Rock is not dead yet.

Yeah I liked what I heard from it when I saw them at the Stone Pony a couple of weeks ago.

Looking forward to getting it.

Back in the 80s I had a thing for Chrissie. Something about her just tripped my trigger.

James Honeyman Scott was innovative and a terrible loss but Robbie McIntosh doesn’t get enough credit for how he stepped im on Learning to Crawl. One could argue that the success of this album kept them together

I saw them open for Guns N' Roses last month. I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. That Shooter McGavin fella on guitar was pretty good.

It's always been a lot like The Cars. It's a different type of groove. You either get it or you don't.
Her voice with the right material though, the ceiling is very high. I love her.
