My Taylor 810. The best looking top I’ve ever seen as far as lacing or cross grain. Whatever you want to call it.

MIM Fender Strat. All about that color and a maple neck for me.

Can’t get a more perfectly quarter sawn top than that, just beautiful

I started playing when I was around 17/18 and played acoustic for a while but then I stopped playing after like 4 years but during the lockdowns I wanted to get back into playing but really wanted to learn to play on electric cause Rock N Roll is what I really love. Anyways bought a MIM strat and Epiphone Les Paul around may 2020. Please ignore my deer stand being built in the back ground.

My friends dad had one of these and I liked it a lot and did not know much about guitars when I was younger. I still play it and do not have to worry about beating it up or when my brother kids come over.

Got this one when I was around 21. Bought it cause Jamey Johnson played this model and ordered it from Guitar center. I think it is a really good sounding guitar.

Cheap little Epiphone. Been wanting to upgrade the pick ups but have not pulled the trigger yet.

My MIM Strat is my work horse and I think it is really easy/fun to pay and sounds good. It originally had a white pick guard but I changed it to black which I dig. I ordered the black nobs too but decided to leave them white.

Love Seagulls. Their use of really cool weird woods keeps their price in this stratosphere for what’s a great solid body built in North America.

I built this one. It’s finally done. First ever so be kind. It’s trying to be a 000-28.

Same Taylor, Martin Clapton 000-28, BlueRidge BR-160

Seagulls are great, I'd probably have one but I absolutely HATE the headstock design

Some of the best guitars under $1500 are Eastman and Seagull IMO.

I've heard good things about Blueridge as well but never played one.

As for your Epiphone jumbo, I've seen where Epiphone now makes a J200 "copy" that is all solid now, never been able to actually play one though.

Notice the headstock is a bit different than the laminate Epiphone EJ200s like yours.

My electic is a blue Squire strat, so nothing special.

I just bought myself this Takamine as a gift to myself for sticking with learning guitar for a year.

Do you know what model that one is? I notice it has the string through bridge (no string pegs) like mine has. This one isn't worth a whole lot of money, but it is a hell of a guitar.
I found this one for sale that is just like mine, but in a lot rougher condition. It needs some work, especially fret work. It's worth doing, on that guitar though. I'm tempted to get it, even though I don't really need it. They don't come up for sale often. LINK
Looks like I waited too long to decide, somebody just bought it Maybe somebody on this forum? They got a great guitar

Agree on the seagull funky headstock. I do see the difference. I think I got my back in 2010/2011. They look really nice!

GD20. It was $330. I don't know a whole lot about guitars as I'm still a beginner, so I went to the store and played some that were in my price range. This one was by far my favorite of the half dozen I played. It had a sound that just clicked with me that the other ones didn't. I later found out it has a cedar top as opposed to a spruce top. Again, I'm just a beginner, so I'm going by what I was told. Most f y'all in here seem a lot more knowledgeable about that stuff.

Yeah, I really love the cedar tops. I edited my original reply to you, to add a link.

yep, they need to come out with a vax for this mysterious guitar buying syndrome. I probably wouldn't take it though.

My wife comes out to my studio and asks why don't I get rid of the old guitars I don't play anymore. I told her they are not really guitars anymore they are "artwork" for the wall.

That's one thing where I really got lucky. I met her at guitar center. She understands about it.
