Posted by DownshiftAndFloorIt I bought the gf a record player for her birthday a few months ago and found this hobby store right by her house that stocks shevles upon shelves of old vinyl. Found 4 merle records, a charlie pride record, 2 marty robbins, a waylon, and a "greatest country hits" from I think 1972. $4 a piece. I thought I had struck gold. That shite just sounds right with some clicks and pops in it.

I go in the pool house and pull some old ones out from time to time. Haven't found a spot at my new house for my record Ayer yet, but it'll be there when u build my outdoor kitchen.

Kitty Wells - "Will Your Lawyer Talk To God"

And OP could you retitle this thread "Post your favorite classic country" or something similarly imaginative

I was bumping some Webb Pierce on my way to the office this AM. Backstreet Affair (1952 version, 1970 version doesn't compare)

I'm gonna go a little outside the box here. I think the Rolling Stones can play classic country music with the best of them.
