Axel F (yes i know about the frog thing from 10 years ago but you never hear the actual song)
Music Box Dancer (this thing blew up in the 70s but you won't find it on a single 70s compilation now)
You Light Up My Life
Boone gonna boone
What do you got? I'm sure there's a ton that just don't make the rotation on the 'classics' stations or playlists.

This happens to most songs.
If it can't crack the same 15-25 songs overplayed based on how it's classified, it'd usually dropped.

This song spent 14 straight weeks at number one. The prosecution for The People vs. Music in the 90s rests.

To answer the question
Endless Love-Lionel Richie and Diana Ross
That tortureous cover version mash up of Baby I Love Your Way and Free Bird. (on second thought the prosecution for The People vs. Music in the 90s) would like to call another witness to the stand)

You Light Up My Life was number one for 10 straight weeks so let's not let the 70s off the hook that easily either..

Ballads are completely non existent in today’s music.

Old Town Road broke the record for longest run at Number 1 on billboard charts.
Don’t hear it anymore.

The Men - The Church of Logic, Sex and Love.
Was hot for about a month, then disappeared seemingly forever.

quote:
They weren't surprised by the wind and rain
They took off east, I think that's what they did
They were just two of the wildest, bored creatures on earth
Fed up with work, strip bars and loneliness galore
In an old Oldsmobile that one of them bought off their father
They ate up so much road - they was grinnin' (Hah-hah.)
(Then they came upon The Thing)

Thank god that and fricking Wagon Wheel seem to have been collectively 86'd by society.
