I’ve been listening to him more and more on IHeartRadio. What’s your opinion of his music? I think it’s unique. For some reason he reminds me of Pyat Pree off of Game of Thrones.

Amazing voice and some fabulous songs. The guy was unique to a fault at times. He is a huge influence on musical/artistic progression into the video age.

Love both of his careers, one with Genesis and the other solo. Didn't particularly care for the poppy songs he did later but every thing else was as good as it gets.

Definitely check out his work with Genesis. Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is great.

He is someone I wouldn't think I would like, but I really like.

Solsbury Hill is the best "fork in the road" song in rock/pop music history. And, I could listen to it 50 times in a row and not get sick of it.

There I said it.

I'm a big fan of early Genesis albums Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot and Selling England by the Pound.

The "no one taught them etiquette" line always makes me smile.

Highly underrated artist.

He did it all. Great performer, creative videos, unique songs, lyrics, and sound...

He's a master.

I'd link to the end of Wall-E as an example, but I guess Disney is too communist to post credit scenes on YouTube. Next time you watch that movie, watch to the end.

Peter Gabriel 3, or "Melt", is one of the best albums of the 80s, and imo his shining achievement post-Genesis

Check it out

Not to mention an extraordinary live performer. Saw him in Austin early eighties. Unbelievable energy and musical precision. Jerry Marotta's drumsticks were literally bloostained by the end of the set.

Not many guys out there will ride a bicycle, at respectable speed, around the stage while singing.

Lamb and his first solo album are two of my favorite albums.

I loved his early solo work, but lost track of him when he veered into the pop territory. I came back to it in the early 2000's and can't find much fault with his so-called pop albums. Besides being played to death on MTV and radio, the music stands the test of time. Plus Tony Levin's playing always floors me.

I saw him a few years ago on the tour he did with Sting and for an old man, he still has it.

Agree with all of you guys. What I admire most about Gabriel besides his voice are the incredibly unique sounds created by the instrumentals.
