I finally got to see him live a couple years ago at the dome.
He came out and played a nearly 3 hour set, with no break and sounded just as great at the encore as he did at the opener

the man is a superhuman talent

post some McCartney deep cuts that you like.

I always liked the last wings album “back to the egg” though apparently nobody else did

old Siam, sir

When I get older
Losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a Valentine?
Birthday greetings bottle of wine?

“……..Losing my hair”. Not exactly prophetic.

FWIW John Lennon's hairline was starting to recede quite noticeably in the last years of his life.

I’m Looking Through You is my favorite song. It’s about telling Jane Asher to quit her career and get in the kitchen and make him sandwiches.

For me, Uncle Albert is my favorite post Beatles McCartney song.

It brings back good memories of riding to Gulf Shores with my family as a kid.

I saw him at Cincinnati’s Riverfront Stadium probably in ‘91 or ‘92. A friend and I were working at a TicketMaster call center and put in requests for tickets. We got seats in the first row. When we got to our seats, they were way off to audience left and we were just facing a giant stack of speakers. We couldn’t see the band at all. But, given our experience seeing the Dead, we knew that you don’t actually have to sit in your assigned seats and you can sit anywhere you can get access to and, as long as nobody comes to claim those seats, it’s cool. So we found a couple empty seats in the center section about 20 rows back from the stage and no one ever bothered us. It was an amazing show.

I’ve never posted a playlist before. But I couldn’t pick just one song from Paul’s set on MTV Unplugged because they’re all so good. So I’m posting the playlist. This is solid gold. When I bought the album I had to buy a Japanese import. Worth every penny. (Or yen.)

His last show in the dome was my 4th time. I’ll always go if he’s willing to play and sing. Took all my kids last time too. Cost a goddamn fortune but was worth it. Got to provide them a proper music education.

Took my wife (still no pics) to see him at Lambeau a couple of years ago. We had 2nd row front because it was her birthday. We made a poster that said that and he acknowledged her and wished her happy birthday. It was cool.
