I've seen him twice. Here's the thing - it's worth it. He's one of a small group of people that I will pretty much pay any amount of money to go see.

I did look at a set list and it's like 40 songs long which is pretty amazing.

Guess I was just looking for specifics as to why it's so great. I get it now. The Beatles.

I'm shitting on 30-60 year olds that think they are cool because they shell out hundreds of dollars just so they can hear what is essentially a cover of Hey Jude.
So shitting on people spending money to watch a guy perform songs he wrote. Got it.

Yeah I guess you have a point even though I still stand by mine. I'll shut up now.

I am pretty sure this is Sir Paul's first gig here since 2003, which is surprising because I know he was looking at real estate down here last year.

helter skelter live 2013

I've seen Paul twice-once in NO in the 90's and most recently this past summer-Thought the 2013 show was way more fun-

but both were amazing

people sound pretty ignorant when they dismiss him like he's nothing

What are you doing on the music board? Do you not enjoy live music? What's the point of any of it?

Yep. He sang / wrote about half the songs in the beatles and he is one of the biggest musicians in the history of music. He still has a great voice for his age and his shows are great because he plays a ton of Beatles stuff and the visuals are also good. A lot of young people today never got to see the beatles live so this is their only chance to see something somewhat close to that.

Yeah, 40 songs is no joke. He plays longer sets than young musicians do today. It's insane.

I did the pre-sale through AMEX and got 4 pretty good seats for somewhere around 500 bucks.

Are you in the lower bowl? I was just looking online and tickets go up to about $250 a piece. Just trying to figure out how much I am going to have to pay to sit in the lower section (not on the floor)

I was talking about when I saw him in Memphis at the FedEx forum. We sat center left in the lower bowl and were very happy. This is a year ago but it is the same "Out There" tour. Stage setup made it pretty easy to see. He plays a small solo acoustic set where the front of the stage rises 8-10 feet and the closer you sat the harder time you probably had seeing. That was probably my favorite part of the show. Lots of audiovisuals and digital media and I'm not quite sure how good you could see that from the floor.

I know thats a lot of info to consider but if I had to do it over again the lower bowl is where I would have sat again

Ya I definitely want the lower bowl, I just hope it isn't going to be 250.

How much are we talking...I really want to go to this, but have a feeling it's going to be pricey as shite

Saw him there in 2002 and we had great seats, third row right on the side of the stage. When he walked to our side of the stage I could clearly see the wrinkles on his face.

Anyway, extremely expensive considering it was 2002. $250 a seat after all of TM's bullshite fees. Four tickets cost me a grand.

ETA: Just checked TM and with fees, good seats are $277.50. Although surprisingly the cheap seats are only $38.05.

There's something wrong with you. How in Hell can a song written and sung by the original artist be a cover? Do you know anything about music?

Just plain asinine.
