Saw him last night in San Antonio. This is the 2nd time I’ve seen him. Last was in 2013.

Incredible show. Almost as good as 2013. Unbelievable how good he sounds at his age and how well he gets around. The man still just oozes “cool” and charisma. He played so many damn good songs and for 3 hours. He’s still well worth the ticket to see him.

Spoilers

Highlights were Live and Let Die and Helter Skelter. Just crazy good production. I also liked how he worked in lots of footage front he Peter Jackson documentary.

Fair warning. And I don't really consider this a spoiler, but he was scheduled to go on at 8 on Saturday. They started playing this video that scrolls up a building, which has a lot of superimposed images of Paul throughout his career. It was kinda neat, but it went on for about 40 damn minutes! It was a tad aggravating because it seemed like it would be about 5 minutes or so. He won't come on stage until the scroll reaches the top of the building.

So yeah, be prepared for that. Go to the bathroom.

I want to say he did something similar in 2013, but I don't remember it being nearly that long.

Headed to the show Wednesday afternoon with one of my teenagers. Rec's on where to park (or where NOT to park) so that I can easily get out for the trip back to Baton Rouge?

For Saints games we typically park on the streets around the med center. We usually get out pretty easy and haven't had any safety issues either.

I rarely go to Nola anymore, so I just bought a parking pass at one of the garages. Mostly to be close for walking and for safety (which is not really a concern with all the people leaving the show)

fwiw - I got an overnight parking pass at LAZ Parking (601 Tchoupitoulas) for $22.00. Its a 20 minute walk, but I'm staying in the warehouse district so it makes sense for me. On my way now.

Also, I been listening to a Beatles playlist ....OMG the great songs never stop and they all bring me back......back....back to the Teenage Daydream

Its been 10 years, so he was a good bit younger. but he put on an awesome show in Houston at Minute maid. One of those concerts where you know everyone of the songs for 3+ hours and so does everyone else.

I mean the guys now 83 and worth over $1Billion between investments, royalties and other moneymaking ventures. For the life of me I can't see what the draw would be other than for some to see this old geezer on stage before he no longer exists.

Oh, and ticket prices are all over the place with some preferred areas in the thousands of dollars per seat........insane.

So don’t fricking go. You do have that option, you know.

Not going tonight, but I’ve seen him 8x. Twice in Houston, once in Dallas, once in (of all places) Bossier City, and 4x in NOLA. Tonight will be his first NOLA show I’ve missed in 32 years (first saw him there in ‘93).

FTR, I’ve also seen Ringo 4x.

Just got home to Baton Rouge. My wife is a diehard Beatles fan. I’m mostly indifferent and she spent a fortune on some premium seats.

But my God did I leave tonight having witnessed one of the best damn concerts of my life. Amazing.

Man. What a show. Brought back so many memories. I was all up in my feels for a lot of the show. My date couldn’t stop tearing up. This is easily in my top 3 concerts of all time. Could be number 1. I’ll have to think on it. I mean, dammit…I got to see a fricking Beatle sing Beatles songs. Live.

Long live Paul McCartney!!
