But nothing has hit me as hard as the Talking Heads.
this is true. I grew up on them when I was very young and in the last 4 or 5 years have really come back around to them. David Byrne is a genius.

I like em. But I can't just listen to them on loop

They're a universally loved band. I wouldn't be friends with anyone that didn't like them.

Me as well. I want to like them more than I actually do. I have Sand in the Vaseline, and that's enough for me. I've never really wanted to venture beyond the greatest hits.
But I have nothing but respect for the band. They are one of the giants.

I go through phases where I listen to a lot of talking heads, its been a few years since I have had one. maybe its time.
But their catalog is so deep, so diverse, and so good. It has aged very well.
with that said, some of their music annoy the shite out of me.

I wasn't much of a fan of theirs when I was younger....but as I've gotten older, I've gotten to really appreciate and love their music.

Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb - burn with a weak heart
(So I) guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong . . nothing
When I need a pick-me-up, nothing does it better than The Talking Heads.
Great lyrics, great music. David Byrne's solo stuff is great too.

First, I love the Talking Heads. But this is where that 'style' came from
LINK
I also read that David Byrne, while in college, listened to loads of Roxy Music-especially albums like stranded, Country Life, and Siren.

now speed it up

Hey, I'm just here to champion a band that always gets overlooked
