Not even close...
Although they have 2 albums that are front to back very good, even those albums don't compare to Ride the Lightning, Rumours, 4, etc.

Nah they were great tho. I loves Noel's first two Flying birds albums but this last one was not as good.
Still haven't really checked out our kid Liam's last two but me good mate Sneaky Pete is mad fer it
I saw Oasis 3 times - Dallas during Be Here Now, Milwaukee (best one) in a small venue for "Turn Up the Sun", and Chicago for the "Lyla" era.
Have seen Noel solo 3 times the first two were great the last wasnt so great

Definitely Maybe is a bonafide classic record. Phenomenal debut that is loud, brash, and cocky while also being very melodic and British (in a good way). (What's the Story) Morning Glory is a step down from that effort but still decent. Everything past that is hit or miss, and mostly miss. I feel like this is largely due, from a musical standpoint, to sounding further and further away from their Madchester baggy influences (Happy Mondays, Stone Roses) and more traditional Britrock. The personal issues are well documented, but I'd still love to see a doc on the drug use for Be Here Now .

Look, I really like The Gaslight Anthem, but I don't go around claiming they're the greatest rock band ever. They're just my favorite.
Oasis did some good stuff, but there's no way their body of work stacks up. Maybe say something like their first two albums were the strongest back to back rock albums of the 90's. That's at least a defensible opinion.
