O.A.R - what's your opinion of this band

I recently found my old iPod from college. I forgot about this band. I like them but not familiar with anything recent... Like in the last 5 years or so.

Their live album is really good but they turned to sappy shite when they decided to not write their songs anymore. I saw them at USA campus right after their new album and it was just boring. Crazy Game of Poker is a great.

Chick, fratty, college band.
I lump them in with the likes of Benjy Davis, Pat Green, Better than Ezra, and so on.

Exactly. And sometimes that's a fun thing.
I saw them a couple of weeks ago, a very enjoyable show.
I was with my wife (a pop music fan), #2 son (who liked them in HS and college; frat star) with his wife.
And #4 son, current fratstar with his gf.
Chicks, frats, college: a time and a place for everything.
For me, O.A.R. is a nice family event (helluva a lot better than Blue Bayou

They played the Bird's Nest in Phoenix when I was down there for the Phoenix Open. They were damn good live, but the people were absolutely bonkers for them down there

They're one of those bands I don't really listen to too much but I'll go see live if they're near.
