It’s ok to not like this album but it’s nowhere near fricking terrible.

I had no preconceived notion of how I wanted the album to sound. I’m not a huge country music fan so I was happy to hear it was more of a rock album. You can’t understand the lyrics and the instruments sound like they’re being played under water.

Fair enough. I agree somewhat re the clarity of the lyrics but disagree with the instruments “being played under water.” The guitar tone specifically on this album is very good IMO. Tastes differ so we’ll agree to disagree, but objectively I think it’s ignorant to say it’s a terrible album.

The more I listen the more it's growing on me. I still find it super annoying that you can barely understand what he's saying though.
I could also go for a little bit less of the autotuning or whatever you call it that he did to his voice. But overall a solid album.

It’s not auto tune. It’s reverb and layering added to the vocal track. There’s no pitch correction here

To say I hate this album would be understated. I'm sure I don't "get" it but I just don't care for whatever genre or type of music this is.

Just watched on Netflix. Pretty cool beginning (and I do hate anime) but soon disco dancers and an androgynous Japanese lady and I started skipping through. Anyone who can explain the cartoon, please do. The music is trash. Liked him much better as the king of turd mountain.
