Helen Gillet tonight at Bacchanal. She's brining back the Wazozo Orchestra. They were popular right after Katrina. Got me through many a bad day and night.

How is it? Picture perfect weather to be out at Bacchanal.

I'm still torn for tomorrow: George Porter plus Naughty Professor at Blue Nile or The Walkmen at One Eyed Jacks. Will be with a crew, so will likely end up on Frenchmen.

Bacchanal was fantastic. Just a great night for a damn nice bottle of Bordeaux and some Parisian inspired music.
Frenchman will be insanely crowded tonight with Krewe du Vieux.

yeah, should be fun though. I wonder how many all star celebs will venture down to the other side to see this so called "mardi gras parade" KDV. Ha. Might even see some in the Blu Nile.

Never got to see who they were, but last night at Bacchanal there were some NBA All Stars in the crowd. Did get to see the huge stretch limos when we left.

There was a Russian model there last night that sat next to us, and that a ton of people were gawking at (had no idea who she was). She was drunk to the point of virtually passing out and kept screaming something in Russian. The people at her table kept apologizing for her. Two people literally carried her out. Eastern world problems.

Saw them in Bham last night. They are awesome. Put on a great show. I can't believe lonesome dreams has been out for over a year and they are not a bigger deal. Enjoy.

I figure we can just keep this thing rolling?

Anybody up for any weekly shows?

I may go check out shovels & rope at tipitina's on Wednesday. They were really good last year.

I'll be at tips for RR on Saturday for sure.

I think on Friday I am going to catch Snarky Puppy at the Howlin Wolf. I couldn't make it last time they were here and I really want to see them.

Wish I could make that White Denim show. I don't think NMH will be playing that late, may end up at Howlin Wolf after.

Reminiscent of the Black Keys, but without the pretension.
