yes I’m pretty stoked to hear it live. It’s definitely got a greensky bluegrass vibe to it. Hoffman writes odd verse sequences and this is pretty odd

We will be at Roanoke and Portsmouth in a few weeks

Saw you live in Charlottesville.

First, YOU were great - music was amazing.

That said... I learned some lessons:

1. If I go to a concert there again, I'm shelling out for decent seats. Those upper bleacher ones make it feel like you're going to tumble down onto the court.

2. A lot... and I mean a LOT... of your fans smoke pot (and not just some pot, based on the odor). There were areas where I couldn't even linger for a moment due to the smell.

So I'd definitely go see you again, but will probably wait until you have an outdoor venue for better ventilation.

I do not live in Charlottesville LOL
But I thought the venue was great, no hassles, no cops, no militant aisle sweepers, great sound, great sightlines. Granted we did have decent seats in the lower bowl.

can’t help you with the weed smoke. Goes with the territory at a Billy show. I was good and stoned but smoking inside the venue is a good way to get tossed

Heh... fixed. Meant to say "Saw you live"

My only real complaint about the venue was the upper seating (so I definitely would have enjoyed myself more with better seats), and when I tried to go to the ticket booth to upgrade the tickets the person literally could not be bothered (there was a line behind me at the interior window and the person in there turned, looked at the line, and then just wandered off).

Yeah... I figured there'd be some, but was DEFINITELY not prepared for/used to the volume.

I'm excited for the recorded version of 10,000 Miles From a Friend. He's been playing it live and it's really, really good.

I listened to that show yesterday and today. Good shite. Awesome jams in Pyramid Country, and Ride Me High with Keel. I really hope they play Reuben's Train next time I see them, that song just brings the house down every time.
