Interesting. Personally, I'd flip these, but IDK how well they would mesh even then. Hendrix was funky as frick. EVH is great, but he doesn't have the same 'head bob' effect as Hendrix. If they have to be in the same group, I put Hendrix at rhythm simple because of that.

bass guitar - roger waters
keyboard - rick wakeman or emerson
drummer - john bonham

i also liked super jam back in bonnaroo 07 it was trey anastasio, john paul jones (led zepplin), and questlove (the roots) on drums

There are many opinions on this board, one is clapton overated. He is with out a doubt one of the greatest musicians is all time.
