Both are some of the more influential bands in the past two decades.

who do you think is better, who will have more longevity, and who do you like more?

Ive always been a fan of jim james’ voice and mmj.

War on drugs does nothing for me.

War On Drugs, easily.

I haven't really paid much attention to MMJ since Z came out. Saw them on that tour and was a bit underwhelmed.

I like War on Drugs but they're a little one notey. MMJ sounds different on every album and Jim James has a great voice.

Carl Broemel can shred and his solo albums are great. As are JJ's.

Both are good. But I like The War on Drugs more. Probably my favorite band of the 2010s.

Jacket used to be one of my favorite bands. Lately their output has been meh, though admittedly I bought The Waterfall 2 and haven’t even unwrapped it.

I used to be on their mailing list for concert news, limited editions, etc. but unsubscribed after it just became a news outlet for Jim James’ political views and his solo projects.

MMJ by a mile. While I do like WOD, they do not bring the same diversity and creativity that MMJ does. MMJ is one of the best bands of the last 20 years, with a stunning catalogue that hits numerous styles and sounds that still always maintains that MMJ sound. That's a rare feat which only the greats can accomplish.

I love both but I'd give the nod to MMJ.

Interesting fact, both managed by agents who live in New Orleans.
