Wow. I feel dumber for having read that. I read a few of their other articles, and even when they were ripping on people I also hate (Grimes, Grizzly Bear, etc), it was still incoherent yelling.
But whatever. I think Civil Wars are boring, too, but I think I may just buy their album to irritate the ten monkeys pounding on typewriters who churned out that article.

I find the whole movement boring... Don't get me wrong, I like some of the songs... I don't seethe with anger if I hear them... Just nothing I would ever buy and listen to on my own...

I, for one enjoy them. They aren't any bastion of musical creativity. But its nice to hear a banjo and some regionally styled music again. Their appeal is the same appeal that attracts those southerners that still dress up to go to football games. Southern nostalgia at its best.
