Most Under-appreciated Musical Instruments

What's your favorite instrument that you think most people don't notice or appreciate as much as you do?
For me, it's the cymbal and an organ.
For example, listen to the cymbal part in Sweet Home Alabama, or listen to the organ part in You Can't Always Get What You Want.
Happy Friday!
My apologies if this has been discussed recently.

Leslie speaker
I'd never even heard of it. Had to look it up, but that's probably the aspect that I like best about an organ.
Thanks!

I love the sound of zithers and harps. Both look like they'd be difficult to learn but I really love to watch someone play them.
Never really cared for the sound of a Hammond organ until I heard Walter Wanderley play one.

Interesting part of rock history is the fued between Hammond who invented the famous organ, and Leslie who invented the rotating speaker which created the sound everyone associates with the Hammond organ. Hammond was a engineer and invented his organ as a low cost alternative to Pipe organs for churches. Hammond despised Leslie, and said if he had wanted his organ to sound that way, he would have designed it that way. Even though they had to be purchased separately, after the 1950s it was rare for a Hammond organ to be sold without a Leslie cabinet. Hammond later was disgusted that his organ had become such a prominent part of rock music, as he had intended it for “the church”.

Bass clarinet. Just has a low, funky, woody sound that I like.
