We went to Fiesta San Antonio, I believe it was 05 or 06. We went to see Alice in Chains. Saw Future Leaders of the World and maybe Alterbridge?
I know that FLOTW were there and they sucked and I want to say Alterbridge was the other band, sucked too. We baked in the sun all afternoon and finally were going to see AiC and our babysitter called to tell us that out son had gotten blowout sick and we needed to come and pick him up. Still haven't seen Alice in Chains.

When I was a little kid, Styx: Mr. Roboto Tour. It was so bad people were literally streaming out of the place.
Neil Young: full on electric, feedback Neil playing hardly anything you would know. Just terrible.

Counting Crows 2006 Dallas - They weren't bad, but they take some of the songs people show up for and ad lib/improv so much they are barely recognizable.
The always do this. It sucks. The worst is when he stops singing and breaks it down into some “spoken word” style poetry reading bullshite. It’s like he purposely does it so the crowd can’t sing along.

So many...
Todd Rundgren-saw him about 15 years ago and was literally embarassed for him. His voice was gone.
Dylan-not sure if he was drunk but was unintelligible, not only when singing but speaking.
Steve Winwood-saw him in the late 80s and he had two dancers on stage with him while he wore a Janet Jackson hands free mic/headset. Mind you he can't dance, so he kind of strutted back and forth, did white guy shoulder rolls and shimmeyed around. Really embarassing. Had about 20 band members also.
Chuck Berry-awful, just awful.
Sly and Family Stone- Sly was hammered and left the stage after about 5 songs.
Counting Crows-their songs are unrecognizable live.
Cheap Trick-sloppy as hell. They were having some substance issues at the time, but I've seen them when they've been really good also.
Chicago-sounded like an off key high school marching band.
Stevie Nicks-She cried in between several songs when explaining them and the audience cheered. It was really odd.
The Scorpions-I hate the group to begin with but was working in the venue they played. If you've ever heard a group on the radio and thought they can't be this awful live, but then got stuck witnessing how bad they are live and confirming your previous thoughts...well. The two guitarists (who suck btw) stood groin to arse all night and did the "guitar lean" thing all night. The lead singer was about 4'-6", has hair like Riff Raff from Rocky Horror and wears spandex.
...I could go on...

This is exactly what happened. It's like he was reciting fricking Moby Dick in the middle of Long December. Screw them. Usually I do tons of research regarding setlists and live ad libs/common improvs for the shows I see, but that was unexpected and confirmed I will never see them again.

I'll second that. Saw him at Jazz Fest 2016. Maybe it was because I got rained on the whole time, but I just barely made it through the set at least to say "I saw Neil Young". Three guys pounding out power chords and lead guitar solos the whole time. I don't know a lot of Young's recent stuff but he was seriously into the hard stuff that day. I would have liked at least a taste of the acoustic stuff. Only song I recognized was "Rockin' in the Free World".

Iron Maiden in 2012 at the Woodlands. Too much going on in their shows. I couldn't distinguish guitars, couldn't hear Bruce at all. Nicko was the bright spot.
I was about 10 rows back from the stage, with a guy in front me who looked like Barry Gibb's twin brother, circa 1977. Sounded pretty cool in that spot.

I saw Smashing Pumpkins at Lollapalooza and they were terrible. Then saw them at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum a few years later and they were great.

The answer for me would be Animal Collective.
They sucked a big ol donkey dick

If you want to listen to the album, just listen to the album.

Hank Williams Jr. at the old Alexandria coliseum. Came out drunker than 10 democrats at a fish fry and then continued to drink Jim Beam. Some roadie mercifully pulled him off stage............

Dr John a couple of years ago at Dosey Doe in the Woodlands. Absolutely zero interaction with the audience. Mailed it in.

Baw? You’re wrong. I fricking love Counting Crows. It’s different. You want a concert or a poetry reading?
Pay for a concert and a bunch of near beatnik shite happens, it’s a problem.

Red JUmpsuit Apparatus at the Varsity a few years back. Their lead singer just had no vocals that night. Either he couldn’t hear himself or he just couldn’t sing anymore. It was excruciating.
