Again, why should one group be held to a different standard than another group?

Completely false. I don't think anyone should say it.

If a word is truly derogatory then no one owns it, no one should have the rignt to use it.

Anybody that's not ready for some devastating trash talk, they will not fare very well at P.I.

I don’t think it’s particularly nice for anyone to use defamatory terms to bash anyone. Yet alone a group that’s legitimately “second class” in a lot of society’s mind - so knocking poor rural white folks isn’t cool to me either. There’s a graphic going around social media this week about thinking twice before kicking people that live in trailers because a hell of a lot of good people deserve dignity in their home, regardless of if they can afford more. I think it’s a fair point.
I don’t think cracker comes with the history of the n word so I get that the discussion isn’t on the same level but I do think it should be addressed as jerk behavior.
I am not of the thought that only white people can be racist. Or that being racist is the only jerk move that should get you called a jerk.
Hell, I think it’s good we aren’t shying away from calling out bad behavior from white women but think we are getting pretty carried away with the “Karen” stuff.
And I’m still fine with not saying the n word, and if the offended party is comfortable with it in their own dialogue, whatever .

I’ll say I’m not a fan of hate speech or hate crime laws. We have plenty of laws without having to create those, in my opinion.
But for societal judgement we have tons of racial, gender, religious discrimination in the world. Other than a whoa is me pity party, is there a reason that this is the cause you are standing up for out of the many out there? Is it that you want to say it without social repercussion? Or are you just trying to hang an L on black people for it?
As best I can tell it doesn’t change your life that this “discrimination” is happening outside of those options so it’s hard to get why you would come in here yelling discrimination
