Metallica played for 90,000 fans in Greece

They kicked off their 2026 European tour this week in Athens, Greece. 90k people were in attendance.
Still incredible that they can sell out these concerts at 60+ years old and without an actual solid album in decades.

This isn't true at all. They've always drawn more in Europe though. That's why they barely played any shows in America for so long.

Most places besides us sell like crazy. The oasis crowds in Europe and South America were insane. Other continents seem to just “care” more probably because supply isn’t there.

They are a household name now. Like the Beatles and Rolling Stones. I just jammed the black album in the gym and it still crushes!

Hardwired was pretty good, but it really only had five songs that were memorable for me. I couldn't get into 72 Seasons at all.
St. Anger and Death Magnetic were duds.
