Luke Bryan-Knockin' Boots

I have always defended Bryan in real life and online because Ive been able to work with him a number of times here in Nashville. He is a genuinely good dude, and his wife is one of the sweetest people you'd ever meet.
I cant do it anymore. I heard his new song "Knockin' Boots" and I cant believe that anyone would allow this song to be put on the radio. Besides sounding awful, it really does sound like a date rape song.
I took a look at the country charts. Luke Combs, Riley Green, and Jon Pardi are in the top 10. You got guys like Cody Johnson, King George, and the new Randy Houser behind them. Did no one tell Bryan that Bro Country is dead? Yes, there is still pop country, and there will always be pop country. Its been around since the late 1950s with Eddy Arnold and Patsy Cline, but at least there is a neo-traditional movement going on in Nashville, and the straight up Bro stuff is dying.
Anyway, you have to do something really bad for a Florida Georgia Line song to be more country than you, but Luke, you did it.

I didn't get a rapey vibe at all but this song is exactly whats wrong with nashville as a whole.
I didn't hear any EDM beats so I guess that's an improvement

Luke Bryan’s music has been incredibly offensive for years. That guy sucks. I wish his garbage was taken off the air.

He played the Endymion Ball about 4 or 5 years ago. By far the worst musical performance I have ever witnessed. And it's not even close. He was that bad.

I’m a huge Luke Bryan fan... buy his CD’s as well and. hell I could step in and sing every song for him at a concert if I had too.. but this is indefensible ... it truly is awful.. even for bro country standards..

Agreed... He’s likable on American Idol, promotes American agriculture, seems like an all around good guy, etc., but Jesus Christ his music sucks.
